TimeTeller develops diagnostic technology that measures an individual’s biological clock and translates this information into actionable insights for health, lifestyle, and medical treatments.
About TimeTeller
TimeTeller is a health technology company developing innovative diagnostics that measure an individual’s circadian rhythm and translate this information into personalised health insights.
The technology is based on years of academic research in circadian biology and systems medicine. TimeTeller® was founded as a spin-off from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin and builds upon the scientific work of Prof. Dr. Angela Relógio (CEO and Co-Founder) and collaborators studying the molecular mechanisms of the human biological clock.
The regulatory path and resulting certifications have been developed by Dr. Benjamin Dose (COO and Co-Founder). TimeTeller GmbH has received numerous awards for its scientific and innovative approach and has been supported by renowned funding programmes. These include the Hamburg Start-up Award, the German Start-up Award, the Women TechEU and the Deutsche Gründerpreis.
Using a simple saliva-based test combined with molecular analysis and computational modelling, TimeTeller determines the phase of a person’s internal clock and generates personalised recommendations for sleep, nutrition, light exposure, and physical activity.
The technology also enables a new approach to medical treatment timing. Because drug efficacy and toxicity often depend on the time of day, aligning therapies with a patient’s circadian rhythm may improve effectiveness while reducing side effects.
TimeTeller’s mission is to make circadian health measurable and actionable and to bring chronomedicine into everyday healthcare.

TimeTeller Advances Precision Circadian Health
TimeTeller, a health-tech spin-off from Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, is developing a diagnostic technology that determines an individual’s circadian rhythm and translates this information into personalised health recommendations.
Using a saliva-based test combined with molecular analysis and computational modelling, the company reconstructs a person’s internal biological clock and identifies optimal timing for sleep, physical activity, nutrition and medical treatments.
By aligning daily behaviour and therapeutic interventions with biological time, TimeTeller aims to improve health outcomes and support the development of personalised medicine.
